Women in Maritime commend launch of CVFF application portal by Ministry, NIMASA

On behalf of women maritime associations in Nigeria, President of the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA Nigeria), Dr. Odunayo Ani,has congratulated the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) on the commissioning and official launch of the CVFF Application Portal.

The CVFF Portal, a landmark digital initiative, aims to enhance transparency, ease of access, and stakeholder confidence across the Nigerian maritime and blue economy sectors. The launch reflects a commitment to efficiency, inclusiveness, and sustainable growth, under the leadership of Honourable Minister Adegboyega Oyetola and NIMASA Director-General Dr. Dayo Mobereola.

Speaking on the milestone, Dr. Ani noted that the portal represents a forward-looking solution to longstanding industry needs, modernizing processes and fostering engagement among maritime operators, investors, and other stakeholders.

“We commend the Honourable Minister and the Director-General for their strategic vision and dedication to implementing practical solutions that advance our industry,” Dr. Ani said.

“This initiative not only unlocks new opportunities for operators and investors but also strengthens stakeholder confidence and promotes transparency.”

As the representative body for women in the maritime sector, WISTA Nigeria reiterated its commitment to supporting initiatives that champion equity, professionalism, and innovation. Dr. Ani emphasized the organization’s readiness to continue collaborating with the Ministry, NIMASA, and other partners to build a more resilient, competitive, and inclusive maritime ecosystem.

The CVFF Application Portal is widely expected to streamline processes, improve service delivery, and encourage greater participation in the marine and blue economy sectors, positioning Nigeria as a leader in maritime innovation and governance.

Dr. Ani concluded by congratulating both the Ministry and NIMASA once again on this significant achievement, describing the launch as a positive step towards a modernized and forward-thinking maritime industry.
