TransQuest Media Group to honour Otunba Olufemi Orioye at 20th anniversary awards

At its 20th Anniversary Transport Development Symposium and Awards in Lagos, TransQuest Media Group presented a special recognition to Otunba Olufemi Orioye, acknowledging his leadership, vision, and contributions to the growth of the nation’s transport landscape.

TransQuest Media Group/Transport Development Symposium and Awards is scheduled to celebrate its 20th anniversary on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, at Lagos Airport Hotels, Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja, Lagos.

The Managing Director of the group, who is also the Chairman, Organising Committee, Mr. Felix O. Kumuyi, and the Board Chairman, Chief Olufemi Ogunsusi, stated this in a statement signed by the duo.

The theme of the one-day transport seminar/Quest Awardees’ event is “Attaining Africa’s Trade/Maritime Hub: Leveraging Nigeria’s Maritime Potentials to Drive Economic Growth.”

The occasion will be chaired by Professor Bamidele Badejo, while Professor Iyiola Oni of the Department of Geography, University of Lagos (UNILAG), will be the Guest Speaker.

According to the statement, the event is uniquely packaged with a symposium/lecture, while the main segment of the programme will feature contributions to the growth of the sector by seasoned speakers and CEOs of relevant agencies, with full audience participation.

The statement also added that the event will witness the celebration of a media practitioner and community leader, Otunba Olufemi Orioye, a staff member of the Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC), who will be honoured with a Merit Award for Outstanding Media Practice.

The decision to celebrate Otunba Orioye, who is the Convener of the Campaign Against Drug Abuse and Cultism, a non-governmental organization, is borne out of his sterling performance, professional conduct, and contributions as a hardworking and steadfast media practitioner with years of dedication and commitment to the media profession.

“Most importantly, we take cognizance of his landmark achievements at various media leadership levels, where he performed creditably to the admiration of all.”
