Taraba State Police Command beefs up security for yuletide celebrations

As the Christmas season approaches, the Commissioner of Police, Taraba State Police Command, CP Ukachi P. Opara, has intensified efforts to ensure the safety and security of residents in the state.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Taraba State Command, SP Abdullahi Suman, recognizing the potential rise in crime and criminality during the festive period, CP Opara has been visiting sister security agencies in the state to seek collaborative efforts in fighting crime.

The Commissioner of Police, accompanied by his management team, paid courtesy visits to the Taraba state Director of DSS, Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), and State Commandant of Nigeria Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

During the visits, CP Opara emphasized the importance of synergy and cooperation among security agencies, stressing that firm collaboration is essential for effective policing.

The heads of the visited security agencies pledged their support for the Commissioner’s efforts, acknowledging the need for collective action to ensure the safety and security of citizens in the state.

With these collaborative efforts, the Taraba State Police Command is poised to provide a secure environment for residents to enjoy the yuletide season.
