Chairman of Sokoto North Local Government Council, Alhaji Jemirun Boska, has proudly showcased a total of 21 development projects executed in the area by the administration of Governor Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto.

During a tour of the project sites with members of the working journalists in Sokoto State, Alhaji Boska highlighted the state government’s continued commitment to improving infrastructure and public welfare across the local government.

According to the chairman, the projects cover several key sectors, including road construction, solar-powered security lighting, drainage systems, borehole drilling, and beautification of major flyovers.

He explained that these projects have brought relief and joy to residents, particularly in flood-prone and previously neglected areas. One of the most notable projects, he said, is the gully erosion control and road construction in the Tudun Wada area, which has received wide commendation from community members, especially women, who were often affected by flooding and poor access roads.

The chairman also listed several beneficiary communities where projects have been completed, including: the Sahara area: Road network projects, the Sabon Titi: Solar installations for street lighting, Mabera Jelani: Drainage construction, the Abarshi area: Road rehabilitation, Tudun Wada Old Cemetery: Boreholes and solar installations.

In addition, journalists visited other completed projects such as the Mabera Water Scheme, Gagi Water Scheme, and Old Airport Water Scheme, as well as the total renovation of the Old Airport and Marna Juma’at Mosques. Renovation works were also completed at Sheikh Abubakar Gumi Mosque, Musa Ayuba Mosque, and Muhammed Maccido Mosque, all located around the Old Airport area.

Alhaji Boska commended Governor Ahmed Aliyu for his visionary leadership and unwavering support for grassroots development.

He noted that the projects have not only improved living conditions but also fostered unity and pride among the people of Sokoto North.

“With all these projects in place, His Excellency, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, has permanently engraved excellent memories in the hearts of our people,” the chairman concluded.
