Renewable breakthrough: JMG saves N40m with solar power Headquarters

JMG Limited’s innovative solar installation slashes diesel costs and solidifies its position as a leader in eco-friendly practices.

In a landmark move that reinforced its leadership in renewable energy, the company has installed a 129kWp hybrid solar system at its Head Office, using premium solar technology from Longi and Deye.

This hybrid installation combines Longi 575W solar panels, Deye high-efficiency hybrid inverters, and 122.9kWh of Deye high-voltage lithium-ion battery storage, designed and managed entirely by JMG’s SOLAR Division.

With the capacity to deliver 15.48MWh of clean energy monthly, covering 90% of the building’s total energy needs, the project is set to eliminate over 71 tons of CO₂ emissions per year and dramatically cut diesel costs.

The solar system is now saving JMG over 34,800 liters of diesel per year, equivalent to nearly N40 million in annual savings.

“We’re not just promoting clean energy. We’re running on it,” said Hussein Abbas, Head of JMG’s Solar Division. “Our Head Office now leads by example, proving that smart, scalable solar solutions are ready for today’s commercial challenges.”

The system features a smart monitoring interface, dual rooftop and carport mounting for space efficiency, and marks a pivotal step toward a greener corporate future.
