Prophet Okwudili Eze sheds light on Classes of Prophets

Mandated Prophet, Bishop Okwudili Eze , started by highlighting who a Prophet is, the role of a prophet in the body of Christ, and the types of prophets. Now, he is deliberating on Classes of Prophets.

Classes of Prophets

It is pertinent to note that all prophets are not in the same class and have the same level of prophetic operations. Therefore, true prophets are divided into three classes. They are as follows:

(i) Major Prophets

These are prophets with major prophetic assignments that have to do with the larger, wider, dangerous scope of operations, especially in national and global issues etc. They have no restricted boundaries in their operations depending on the leading of God. They have greater frontiers to possess. They have an innate ability to turn wilderness and deserts into wells of refreshing water.

Scriptural examples of some major prophets are Jesus Christ, Moses, Elijah, Elisha, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and so on. Their scope of relevance is most times, trans-generational and they operate with the overt manifestation of God’s presence and power with confirmatory signs and wonders.

(ii) Minor Prophets

These are genuine prophets of God but their assignments are in the minor ambit, operating within a particular range of grace and strength. Their assignments are limited to a particular person, persons or locality. Scriptural examples include Jonah, Hosea, Micah, Agabus, Judas, Silas and so on.

(iii) Sons and daughters of Prophets

These are prophets and Prophetesses in the making or training. They can be trained to qualify either into major prophets or minor prophets depending on their divine assignment. However, they gradually flow into this realm through a process of yielding and service to the senior Prophets. They are not to run or jump to the next level without God qualifying them into it.

“And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel Caine forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head today? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
(2 Kings 2:3).
