Founder and General Overseer, Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry, Prophet Godwin Ikuru, has urged Nigerian youths not to embark on any protest, but rather embrace dialogue with President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking to newsmen today in Lagos, the prophet maintained that protest is not the best option at the moment because the government is already apprehensive of the current situation of the country and working assiduously to restore hope.

“The president also wants to restore confidence by ending the privation and austerity in the country.  The government is anxious and extremely perturbed with the occurrences and circumstances in the country, that’s why President Tinubu’s government is embarking on food importation which is even averse to and in opposition to our policy here in Nigeria. But he has to do this to alleviate the suffering of the people, it’s a new policy that was introduced to ameliorate the situation of things in the country.  Nigerians need to give the government little time because God is not in support of this protest”, he explained.

He also reiterated that Nigeria has enough problems on the ground already and it wouldn’t be sagacious for anyone to embark on protests at this period.

“Nigeria is going through a lot at the moment, the protest will only exacerbate and aggravate our pale condition in the country. Take a look at Kenya, the protest grounded economic activities, crippled the nation, and lives were lost, I tell you resolutely, there’s no how Nigerians will embark on protests that we wouldn’t have a repeat of what happened in Kenya. I want to tell Nigerian youths that God loves them and He’s telling them to shun the planned protest”, he stressed.
