Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has flagged off the second phase of Ojaja Park and residences in Akure, Ondo State.

According to the Director, Media & Public Affairs, Ooni’s Palace, Otunba Moses Olafare, the project, dedicated to Nigerian youths, aims to provide employment opportunities and socioeconomic growth.

Oba Joseph Adewole Adebayo, the Ajero of Ijero Ekiti, officiated the groundbreaking ceremony, emphasizing the importance of traditional rulers driving development.

“Kings too can do it,” he said, highlighting the project’s potential to engage over 3,000 youths.

The Olowa of Igbara Oke, Oba Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede, commended Ooni Ogunwusi for initiating the project, which will enhance development and provide job opportunities for youths.

Ooni Ogunwusi urged traditional rulers to complement government efforts in driving development.

“We are no longer leaving developments to government; we are rather expected to complement their efforts,” he said.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year and will feature a villa section.

A US-based indigene of Ondo State has already made a part payment of ₦400 million to purchase an acre of land at the Villa section of Ojaja Park phase II.
