Ohanaeze Ndigbo set to receive Kalu, mobilize members in Uyo

Ahead of the planned visit of former governor of Abia state, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, to Akwa Ibom state, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide Akwa Ibom chapter has concluded plans to give their illustrious son a rousing welcome to the state.

Our Correspondent gathered that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu will be visiting the Southern Atlantic University, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, to officially commission the main administrative block of the University named after him.

The founder/ Chancellor of the Institution, Pastor Bassey James, had earlier announced that the Institution opted to honor Senator Orji Uzor Kalu owing to his humanitarian gestures, which have touched several lives across the country and beyond.

In a letter informing the Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide Akwa Ibom chapter of the proposed visit of the distinguished Senator to the institution, Pastor Bassey James had appealed for their participation, support and solidarity to ensure a befitting and rousing welcome for the former Senate, Chiefwhip.

The President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Akwa Ibom chapter, Hon. Kayceey Chidiadi and the Association Secretary, Mazi Ugochukwu, in reply, assured the Senator of their readiness to ensure that his visit to the state will be a memorable one.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo expressed optimism that the visit of the former Abia governor and serving Senator of the Federal Republic will bring good tidings to the people of the state.

Our Correspondent reports that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is a top business mogul, a politician of note and extra ordinary philanthropist, whose milk of human kindness has touched several Nigerians at home and in diaspora.
