All Progressives Congress (APC) recently hosted a massive flag-off ceremony for chairmanship and councillorship aspirants across four key local councils in Lagos: Apapa, Apapa-Iganmu LCDA, Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA, and Efelodun LCDA.
The event drew an impressive crowd of party leaders, aspirants, supporters, and grassroots mobilizers from across the state.
Tunde Balogun, GCA of the listed LCDA/LGAs, formally handed over APC party flags to all chairmanship and councillorship aspirants, charging them to uphold the values of the party and deliver on the “Winning Team” slogan.
Several new members officially decamped from opposition parties, including the Labour Party and People’s Democratic Party (PDP), with Comrade Oluwafemi Badiya describing the APC as “a home of unity, progress, and structure.”
Top party influencers and dignitaries attended the event, including Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, Deputy Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, and Tunde Balogun, GCA and chief officiator.
Jamilu Abdullahi, aspirant for Supervising Councillor, Ward F, Apapa-Iganmu, expressed confidence in the party’s structure, people, and vision to win at every level, describing the event as “a wonderful one that shows APC means business.”
The APC continued to solidify its presence at the grassroots, using events like this to energize its base and showcase unity across local government lines.
With aspirants now officially flagged off and campaign momentum rising, the stage is set for a decisive showing in the upcoming elections.
