Kano chapter wins Vice Admiral El Ogalla football tournament cup

As part of the activities lined up for the Nigerian Military School (NMS) 70th Anniversary, the Inter State Chapters’ 5-Aside Football Tournament, known in Nigerian Navy as the Vice Admiral EI Ogalla Cup, was successfully completed on Sunday 19 May 2024 at the Ahmed Musa Centre, Kaduna State.
The tournament featured four State Chapters: Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, and FCT Abuja.
The tournament was named in honour of Vice Admiral Emanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, the Chief of the Naval Staff, who has been a steadfast pillar of support for the Association.
Vice Admiral Ogalla was represented by Rear Admiral IA Dewu as the Special Guest of Honour for the occasion.
Kano Chapter emerged as the champions, demonstrating their skill and determination on the field. Kaduna Chapter placed second, while FCT Abuja Chapter was in third place.
Present at the event were Acting President NMS Exboys Association, Exboy Mohammad Baba Marte, AVM MY Aisimi Rtd, a Board of Trustees member, and other Senior Exboys who came to support their respective chapters.
The representative of the CNS, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Dewu, extended commended the efforts of the NMS Ex Boys Association and thanked them for organising the Cup in his honour.
He pledged to continue giving his best in protecting Nigeria’s territorial integrity in his capacity as the Chief of the Naval. He also encouraged NMS Exboys to always come together to support their Alma mater, the prestigious NMS.
