I stand for positive change because of my future generation
By Professor Nwaocha Ogechukwu
“The journey to serve humanity is always challenging but with courage and persistent the success can be reached though it might take time.
Therefore patience is always required to achieve social change, political change, economic and religious change in every society if we have the spirit to face the obstacle that might bridge your vision and mission no matter the situation.
I stand for positive change to better the human society and to serve humanity. I also stand for sacrifice of my economic well-being to serve humanity , and I also stand to support human progress at all cost.
Even though I have role models but I learnt from their mistakes . I mean their flaws and their weakness , and their errors they ignored but I try my possible best to adjust my self , change my mindset, and sacrifice my source of livelihood to save humanity to the best of my ability.
Yes I learnt a lot from Martin Luther King Jr, Late Professor Chinua Achebe who was the then Dean of my Father in University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), Â Martin Luther the reformer, Malcom X, the Christian St. Paul of the New testament, Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela who fought sacrificially for independence of South Africa . I discovered one thing from them – self sacrifice and courage to save and serve humanity within their might..
Everything mustn’t be social or cultural change, but political and economic change to consolidate sustainable democracy and environmental sustainability . I also cherish spiritual change to effect the totality of man and his mindset. I also cherish humility to enable us listen and adhere to the truth of the minority and marginalized voice. I also cherish love for your neighbors……
But I am yet to understand the meaning of forgiveness. Yes , I mean the ability of the marginalized voice to forgive their oppressors in their gross wickedness. I mean the will- power to forgive a gross violator of your Right and live. Can forgiving a tyrant who massively commits genocide to its optimum level be achieved ? I will leave this question for God to answer in the case of Satan.
Some may carry their activities to set mark and for accolades, everybody has his or her mission in life. I , Nwaocha Ogechukwu, have no mission for accolades though it may come my way. My mission is to bring about the change that will effect humanity positively with humility just for the sake of my children, grand children, great grand children and to the extend the generation can live by God’s permission and blessing because whatever I do today might affect my future generations positively or negatively.
I will not like my future generations derail to public immorality and to shed blood.”
I reset my case!
