G-10 hails arrival of CNG buses, says Umo Eno’s performance is shaping Akwa Ibom’s future

Leadership of Gov Umo Eno 2027 Advocates (G-10) has applauded the arrival of the first tranche of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses facilitated by the administration of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, describing the development as another clear demonstration of purposeful leadership, strategic governance, and an unwavering commitment to improving the welfare of the people.

In a statement signed by its Media Unit, the group said the arrival of the buses further reinforces the Governor’s determination to translate campaign promises into tangible projects that positively impact citizens through the implementation of the ARISE Agenda.

According to G-10, effective leadership is measured not by lofty promises but by visible achievements capable of transforming the lives of the people, noting that Governor Umo Eno has consistently demonstrated his resolve to deliver practical solutions to the challenges confronting residents of the state.

The group observed that transportation remains one of the most important drivers of economic growth, social mobility, and inclusive development, especially at a time when Nigerians are grappling with rising transportation costs resulting from economic reforms and increased fuel prices.

It noted that the introduction of the CNG buses would provide much-needed relief to workers, students, traders, rural dwellers, and other residents who rely on affordable public transportation for their daily activities.

“The arrival of these buses goes beyond the provision of vehicles for public transport. They represent accessibility, economic inclusion, innovation, and government sensitivity to the welfare of the people. This initiative will reduce transportation costs while enhancing mobility across the state,” the statement said.

G-10 further stated that the adoption of CNG-powered buses demonstrates that the Akwa Ibom State Government is embracing cleaner and more sustainable energy alternatives that align with global environmental best practices.

According to the group, the initiative places Akwa Ibom among the forward-looking states investing in environmentally friendly transportation while preparing for future economic and environmental challenges.

The advocates also commended Governor Umo Eno’s style of governance, describing it as one anchored on implementation rather than political rhetoric.

They noted that while many political leaders make ambitious declarations, the Akwa Ibom governor has consistently distinguished himself by backing his words with concrete projects and measurable outcomes.

The group also pointed to the growing commendations the Governor has continued to receive from across political divides, including members of opposition parties, business leaders, opinion moulders, private sector stakeholders, and ordinary citizens, saying such widespread recognition underscores the fact that good governance transcends partisan interests.

According to G-10, the positive reactions from diverse groups demonstrate that the administration’s developmental strides are being acknowledged based on performance rather than political affiliation.

The advocates expressed confidence that the CNG buses represent only the beginning of broader reforms aimed at transforming transportation infrastructure, expanding economic opportunities, and strengthening public confidence in government institutions.

They reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Governor Umo Eno’s vision for sustainable development and inclusive growth across Akwa Ibom State.

“The buses have arrived, but beyond their physical presence, they carry a powerful message that leadership must produce results, promises must be fulfilled, and development must remain visible to the people.

“Governor Umo Eno has once again shown that genuine progress is achieved through action, not mere words. Akwa Ibom is moving forward, and the future is already taking shape,” the statement concluded.
