CAGraM reaffirms support for Tinubu, pledges 10m direct votes ahead of 2027

As preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum, the Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement (CAGraM) has thrown its weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, unveiling a nationwide grassroots mobilisation plan aimed at securing 10 million direct votes in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to the National Deputy, Innovation Technology and Artificial Intelligence, CAGraM, Bala Sani Shehi, the resolution was contained in a communiqué issued at the CAGraM National Grassroots Mobilization Summit, held on Tuesday, in Abuja.

The summit was convened under the theme: “Ten Million Votes, One Purpose: Securing Nigeria’s Democratic Future.”

The communiqué followed extensive deliberations by delegates drawn from the North-Central, North-East, North-West, South-East, South-South and South-West zones, reflecting what participants described as a unified national consensus anchored on grassroots mobilisation and progressive politics.

Delegates described the Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement (CAGraM) as a truly national platform committed to democratic consolidation, national unity and progressive governance.

They noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu embodies the collective aspirations of Nigerians through bold leadership, strategic clarity and a firm commitment to long-term national development.

The summit commended the Tinubu administration for what it described as courageous and far-reaching reforms in fiscal discipline, revenue optimisation, infrastructure renewal and economic recalibration.

While acknowledging the temporary hardships associated with the reforms, delegates maintained that the policies represent necessary steps towards building a stronger, more resilient and inclusive Nigeria.

According to the communiqué, true leadership must be assessed not by populism, but by the courage to take difficult decisions that secure sustainable national growth.

All zones reaffirmed their absolute loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the party as the most viable platform for national integration, democratic stability and inclusive development.

Delegates expressed strong confidence in CAGraM as the engine room of grassroots mobilisation, voter education and political engagement, stressing that grassroots participation remains the backbone of electoral success nationwide.

The communiqué also acknowledged the sacrifices and resilience of CAGraM members during the 2023 general elections, commending them for remaining disciplined, loyal and committed to party unity and the Renewed Hope Agenda despite limited access to patronage.

Special recognition was accorded to notable supporters who stood firmly with the movement during challenging periods.

The summit specifically commended Mrs. Modupe Odumuyiwa and Otunba Dr. Ronke Kolade Carew (Rontex) for their steadfast support, encouragement and commitment, which delegates described as instrumental in sustaining grassroots morale and organisational stability nationwide.

The communiqué described the 10 Million Direct Votes Project as a structured, people-driven national mission anchored on ward-to-ward mobilisation, door-to-door voter engagement, youth and women inclusion, faith-based and community advocacy, as well as continuous voter education and PVC sensitisation.

Delegates from all zones pledged to deliver their respective quotas—and beyond—through disciplined, data-driven grassroots engagement across all states of the federation.

CAGraM outlined its national strategic priorities to include bridging the gap between APC leadership and grassroots supporters, mobilising party faithful and undecided voters, strengthening ward and polling-unit structures, defending the APC-led government with facts, countering misinformation, and empowering youths and women as ambassadors of democracy.

The communiqué further emphasised unity, internal cohesion and zero tolerance for anti-party activities within both CAGraM and the APC.

Delegates appealed to the national leadership of CAGraM, the APC and relevant authorities to provide logistical support, capacity-building opportunities, mobilisation materials and appropriate recognition, including political appointments, for committed grassroots members nationwide.

The summit recorded the presence of national leadership and key stakeholders, underscoring the nationwide reach and inclusiveness of CAGraM.

Among CAGraM National Executive Officers present were the National Chairman, Hon. Faisal Lawal Haladu; National Organizing Secretary, Hon. Tope Sanya; Assistant National Chairman (North-West), Hon. Shamsudini Wow; Assistant National Chairman (North-East), Hon. Abba James; and Assistant National Chairman (South-West), Alhaji Karimoh Akinpelu.

Distinguished guests included Alhaji Yakubu Muhammad Doro (M.D. Senior) from Jos, elder brother to the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Eradication, Dr. Bernard Muhammad Doro.

The Honourable Minister of Interior was also in attendance, further highlighting the national significance of the summit.

Delegations were drawn from several states, including Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, Niger, Kebbi and Adamawa, among others across the North-West, North-East and North-Central zones. From the South-South Zone, the National Vice Chairman, Hon. Thanko Amadi, was present, while accredited delegates from the South-South and South-East zones actively participated in the deliberations.

As preparations for the 2027 general elections commence, all zones of CAGraM pledged to remain proactive, visible, united and influential in shaping public opinion and securing victory for the APC and its candidates across Nigeria.
