BSN Lagos Area 2 celebrates 30 years with call to action

Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) Lagos Area 2 is marking its 30th anniversary with a week-long celebration from April 21st to April 27th, 2025.
The theme of the celebration is “God, Our Hiding Place” (Psalm 32:7), emphasizing the need for national reflection and renewal.
According to the Chairman, BSN Lagos State Area 2, Very Revd Olatunde Onadipe, for three decades, they has played a critical role in translating, producing, and distributing the Holy Scriptures across languages and communities.
The organization has advocated for a society rooted in biblical values and moral integrity.
“As the organization celebrates this significant milestone, it is calling on the government and citizens to prioritize righteousness, justice, and equity. The BSN is urging leaders to, ensure the security and welfare of the people, address corruption with sincerity and implement policies that reflect compassion, accountability, and long-term vision,” he stressed.
The BSN is also calling on the church and citizens to, live by Godly principles and be the light Nigeria needs, as well as uphold biblical values and moral integrity.
On the 30th anniversary celebration activities, the man of God, explained that there will be free distribution of scriptures, outreach programs to spread the Word of God, a public lecture on national renewal through the Word of God, thanksgiving and recognition of key partners, and a visit to SOS Children’s Villages.
As the BSN looks back with gratitude and forward with purpose, it reaffirms its commitment to the Word of God as the sure foundation for building a better Nigeria.
