Bidaymi AMA’s Trippers Initiative ‘Tell our story ‘ project in Ogun State

Trippers by Bidaymi AMA Nigeria, a travel and tourism innovation company, has completed the pilot phase of its documentary initiative titled “Tell Our Story” in Ogun State, Nigeria.

The project, directed by Oluwabunmi Adeyemi, Founder of Trippers by Bidaymi AMA Nigeria and a tourism researcher, aims to spotlight Nigeria’s untapped tourism potential through storytelling, digital documentation, and academic research.

The documentary, which was filmed twice to ensure precision and quality, featured a creative team comprising Azeez Gbolahan, Drone Pilot, and Adeshina Jeremiah, Videographer/Photographer.

The project explores the cultural and natural landscapes of Ogun State, showcasing the state’s diverse heritage and tourism attractions.

According to Adeyemi, the initiative was designed not only to promote tourism but also to reshape perceptions of Nigeria’s economic and cultural resources.

“The tourism sector in Nigeria remains deeply underestimated. Through Tell Our Story, we are revealing the beauty, potential, and opportunities within our communities. As a travel and event company, we believe innovation is useless when the market isn’t ready, to truly capture Nigeria, we must first revive and reawaken it,” he said.

The Ogun State phase of the project was made possible through the generous contributions of supporters, including UyiMeshang Willie, Aiyeteru Hussenat, and other friends and family members of the Trippers brand.

The “Tell Our Story” project has already inspired three research papers authored by Adeyemi Oluwabunmi: Tears to Wealth, Sweat to Wealth, and The Importance of Agricultural Tourism in Africa. Each paper underscores the potential of tourism as a driver for national economic growth and cultural revival.

Following the successful execution in Ogun State, Trippers announced that preparations are underway to extend the Tell Our Story project to Northern Nigeria before the end of the year.

The next phase will document the region’s rich culture, history, and landscapes as part of the brand’s commitment to building a unified and inclusive tourism identity for the country.

Trippers by Bidaymi AMA Nigeria is a Nigerian travel and events company dedicated to promoting tourism, culture, and leisure through innovation, research, and immersive experiences.
