FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC, makers of Peak, Three Crowns, Coast, Olympic and Nunu milk brands, has reaffirmed its commitment to prioritising consumers and delivering quality dairy nutrition to Nigerian households as organisations worldwide celebrate Customer Service Week.
The company said this year’s theme, “The Extra Mile,” underscores the importance of exceeding consumer expectations, listening to feedback and continuously improving customer experience.
According to FrieslandCampina WAMCO, the theme reflects its commitment to understanding the evolving needs of Nigerian consumers and providing products and experiences that add value to their everyday lives.
The dairy company noted that its responsibility extends beyond providing milk and dairy products, as its brands form part of the daily routines of millions of Nigerians, from breakfast tables and family meals to other moments of nourishment throughout the day.
Speaking on the significance of the theme, the company’s Customer Care Manager, Odukoya Oluwatobi, said consumer care goes beyond resolving complaints and responding to enquiries, stressing the need to build meaningful and lasting relationships with customers.
He explained that every interaction with consumers provides an opportunity for the company to learn, improve and remain responsive to changing household needs.
Odukoya also highlighted the importance of consumer feedback in helping the business maintain its relevance and continuously improve its products and services.
As part of the celebration, FrieslandCampina WAMCO brought employees together at its head office to reflect on the role of individuals and departments in delivering positive consumer experiences.
Speaking during the internal engagement, Jide Sipe, Group Head, Brand Transformation and Digital Marketing, Bank of Industry, said going the extra mile was not necessarily about how far an organisation went, but how much it cared about the people it served.
He emphasised the importance of genuine care in creating meaningful customer experiences and strengthening relationships between organisations and their consumers.
The company’s Marketing Director, Maureen Ifada, also challenged employees to look beyond meeting consumer expectations and embrace a culture of continuous improvement and higher standards.
The celebration further highlighted the importance of collaboration, empathy, responsiveness and accountability in ensuring that consumers remain central to the company’s operations.
FrieslandCampina WAMCO said its commitment to going the extra mile also aligns with its broader purpose of providing quality dairy nutrition and contributing to healthier, better-nourished communities.
The company added that it would continue to listen to consumers, use their feedback and insights to drive improvements, and ensure that its products and services remain relevant to the changing needs and preferences of Nigerian households.
