NCDMB partners BELLAZIR to build skilled workforce in fire alarm, access control systems

Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in partnership with BELLAZIR LIMITED, has successfully concluded a two-week intensive training programme on Fire Alarm and Access Control Technology, empowering 50 youths in Lagos State with practical technical skills for employment and entrepreneurship.

The capacity-building initiative, which ran from June 29 to July 10, 2026, was designed to equip participants with industry-relevant knowledge in the installation, maintenance, programming and monitoring of modern fire alarm systems and access control solutions.

The programme forms part of NCDMB’s commitment to promoting Nigerian content through human capital development, while supporting efforts to create a skilled workforce capable of meeting the growing demands of Nigeria’s safety and security technology industry.

Throughout the training, participants underwent both classroom instruction and practical sessions covering system design, wiring, programming, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, safety procedures and internationally accepted industry standards.

The comprehensive curriculum was tailored to prepare beneficiaries for opportunities in the construction, oil and gas, real estate, manufacturing and other sectors where advanced safety systems are increasingly required.

Speaking during the closing and certificate presentation ceremony, the Managing Director of BELLAZIR LIMITED, Christabel Aniemeka, congratulated the participants on successfully completing the programme and encouraged them to make productive use of the knowledge acquired.

She noted that the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to developing local capacity and empowering young Nigerians with specialized skills that will enhance their employability and entrepreneurial potential.

Aniemeka also presented certificates of completion and starter tool kits to the 50 beneficiaries, providing them with essential equipment to begin their careers in the fire safety and access control industry.

According to her, “This training is part of our commitment to human capacity development and deepening Nigerian Content in critical safety technologies. We expect you to be ambassadors of quality and professionalism in the industry.”

She urged the graduates to uphold high professional standards, embrace continuous learning and leverage the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to improving safety and security infrastructure across the country.

The beneficiaries expressed appreciation to NCDMB and BELLAZIR LIMITED for the opportunity, describing the programme as a life-changing initiative that has equipped them with valuable technical skills and opened new pathways for sustainable employment and self-reliance.

The successful completion of the programme underscores the continued efforts of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board and its industry partners to strengthen local capacity, promote youth empowerment and expand Nigeria’s pool of skilled professionals in critical technology sectors.
