Eucharia Unamba honoured for outstanding humanitarian service, community development

Renowned philanthropist and community development advocate, Ambassador Chief Mrs. Eucharia Unamba, has been named a recipient of The Mirror Newspaper Excellence Award for Heroes of Our Time, in recognition of her exceptional contributions to humanitarian service and social impact in Nigeria.

The award acknowledges her remarkable leadership as the Chief Executive Officer of the Eucharia and Lawrence Unamba Helping Hand Foundation, where she has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at supporting the less privileged, empowering vulnerable groups, and promoting sustainable community development.

Over the years, Chief Mrs. Unamba has distinguished herself through acts of compassion, generosity, and unwavering dedication to improving the lives of individuals and communities.

Her foundation has become a beacon of hope, delivering critical support services, uplifting disadvantaged populations, and fostering opportunities for growth and self-reliance.

According to the organisers, her selection followed a rigorous evaluation process by the Editorial Board of The Mirror Newspaper, supported by independent assessors, who found her contributions to exemplify the highest standards of service to humanity, leadership excellence, and societal impact.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place during the upcoming Mirror Newspaper National Conference and Award Ceremony, where distinguished individuals from various sectors will be honoured for their contributions to national development.

The event is slated for April 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., and will be held at the LCCI Conference & Exhibition Centre, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

It is expected to attract prominent personalities from across the country, including leaders in business, government, and civil society.
