INRI Cleric Abiola Ayinde weds daughter, urges couples to keep Satan out of marriage

A cleric of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Reverend (Dr.) Abiola Ayinde, popularly known as Gbojesu, has cautioned couples against allowing external influences to interfere in their marriages, warning that such actions could open the door to the devil.

The respected man of God, who is in charge of the Agor-Okota Parish, gave the admonition during the wedding ceremony of his daughter, Rachel Bisola, to Akinyosoye Emmanuel Segun.

The ceremony was held on Saturday, at Sof Event Hall, Ejigbo, Lagos State.

The colourful event attracted members of the church and dignitaries, including nine apostles of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church.

Speaking at the ceremony, Reverend Ayinde stressed that marriage requires divine guidance, patience, and commitment, noting that it is not an institution to be entered into lightly.

According to him, “Marriage is not something anyone should just jump into. It requires wisdom, knowledge, strength and God’s intervention. When a man and a woman come together, they become one, as stated in the Bible.”

He warned that allowing third-party interference in marriage is dangerous and could lead to its collapse.

“In marriage, don’t give the devil a chance. The moment a third party comes in, the devil has entered. That is when problems begin,” he said.

Drawing from biblical references, the cleric cited the story of Adam and Eve, noting that the intrusion of the serpent disrupted the harmony of the first marriage.

Reflecting on the joyous occasion, Reverend Ayinde expressed gratitude to God for witnessing his daughter’s wedding and described the moment as fulfilling.

“I am very excited. Seeing people rejoice with me, celebrating, eating and thanking God is amazing. I give all glory to God and appreciate the support of my father in the Lord, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, for his moral and financial support,” he said.

He also described the wedding as historic, noting that the couple was the first to be joined in holy matrimony at the newly commissioned ultra-modern cathedral of the church in Lagos.

“It is a privilege. As the first ambassador of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, my daughter being the first to wed in the new cathedral is a great honour. I pray this joy will be permanent,” he added.
Speaking on his relationship with Primate Ayodele, Reverend Ayinde described it as that of a father and son.

“I am not just working with him; I am his son. Anyone who asks about me, he will say I am his son. That is the relationship we share,” he said.

The cleric also advised church members to raise their children in the fear of God, stressing that proper spiritual upbringing is key to a successful life and marriage.

“If you train your children in the way of the Lord, they will not depart from it. I ensured my daughter was raised in the church, and today, she has honoured that foundation,” he stated.

On giving out his daughter in marriage, Ayinde admitted that it was an emotional moment but expressed confidence in her upbringing and choice of partner.

“She is a kind and caring daughter who has never given me trouble. From childhood till now, she has been a blessing. I prayed that my children would marry in the church, and God has answered me,” he said.

He disclosed that his daughter introduced her husband to him, and after prayers and spiritual guidance from Primate Ayodele, he gave his blessing to the union.

“This is the first man she brought home, and I prayed for them. You can see that God’s light is shining upon them,” he added.

Reverend Ayinde concluded by urging members of the church to adhere strictly to its doctrines and teachings, noting that obedience to spiritual guidance guarantees success.

“If you follow the rules and regulations of the church, you will succeed, and your children will prosper. But if you do otherwise, the outcome may not be favourable,” he warned.

Among the men of God who graced the ceremony were Pastor Sholanke Olusola Olusegun; Pastor Awodiran Olusola; Pastor Ojo Peter; Pastor Agbetu Olumide; SP Apostle Gideon O. Adeyemi; Pastor Elisha Olugbenga; Gen. Apostle Olumide Abegunde; Apostle Dapo Bamisaye; and Pastor Remi Oladipupo.

The event was marked by celebration, prayers, and goodwill messages as family, friends, and church members gathered to honour the newlyweds.
