Igando-Ikotun Patriots urge Tinubu to reclaim mandate from ‘Batco’ loyalists

A group of concerned non-indigenous patriots of Igando-Ikotun in Alimosho Local Government Area has urged President Bola Tinubu to assist them in reclaiming their mandate from what they describe as “Batco mandate” loyalists to Rauf Aregbesola and Enilolobo.

According to the group, the current leadership of the Local Council Development Area (LCDA) is being manipulated by Enilolobo and his associates, who are allegedly disregarding the interests of loyalists to Tinubu’s leadership.

The group claimed that Akinsanya Lasisi, the former LCDA chairman, was compensated for his support during Tinubu’s tenure as governor, while other camps were marginalized.

They also alleged that Lasisi has been reported as the worst LCDA chairman in Lagos by Lagos Reporter.

The patriots urged Tinubu to verify their claims and intervene in the situation to protect the mandate of Igando-Ikotun.

They warned that if the situation persists, the morale of loyalists will be diminished, and the mandate will be undermined.

The group is also calling on the state chairman and leadership to intervene in the crisis and ensure that the mandate is not compromised.

They cautioned Hon Bisi Yusuf, the current leader, not to take their gentility for cowardice and to retrace his steps to avoid further conflict.

The situation in Igando-Ikotun LCDA is becoming increasingly tense, with the group warning that it could be a “nightmare” for the current leadership if they do not tread carefully.

The outcome of this power struggle will likely have significant implications for the political landscape of Alimosho Local Government Area ..
