Awori Indigenous Progressive Group calls for probe into alleged sale of chairmanship slot

A controversy has erupted in Igando Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA) over the alleged sale of The Mandate Movement (TMM) mandate chairmanship slot to Batco Mandate Akinsanya Lasisi.

According to a statement made available to The Mirror, the Awori Indigenous Progressive Group has launched an investigation into the matter and will expose those involved.

The group claimed that someone had selfishly sold TMM’s rights and power without considering the 2027 general election for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Initially, they said, the name sent to Tinubu through Hon Adebisi Yusuf was Prince Adewunmi Dada, which was approved by the President.

However, there was a switch from chairman to vice, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding the change.

The group has urged the leadership of Alimosho under Hon Adebisi Yusuf to take urgent action to correct the situation.

The group believes that Igando Ikotun council deserved a performer and goal-getter, with Prince Adewunmi Dada emerging as the voice of the people.
