Journalism for Liberty Fellowship 2025: 60 exceptional fellows selected

Liberalist Centre was thrilled to announced the selection of 60 exceptional fellows for the Journalism for Liberty Fellowship 2025 Cohort.

The prestigious programme aimed to empower journalists from Kenya, Nigeria, and Zambia with the knowledge, skills, and network necessary to promote liberty and freedom in their reporting.

After receiving over 400 applications from three countries, the selection committee shortlisted 100 candidates, from which the final 60 fellows were chosen.

These exceptional individuals demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting liberty and freedom through their work.

As part of the fellowship program, the selected journalists will participate in a comprehensive training program, which includes taking the Liberty in Africa course.

The course will equip them with a deeper understanding of the ideas of liberty and how to apply them in their reporting.

The Liberalist Centre is excited to welcome the new cohort of fellows and looks forward to seeing the impact they will make in promoting liberty and freedom in their respective countries.

According to the Director of Programmes and Development of the centre , Mr. Eric Mobu, “We are thrilled to welcome the Journalism for Liberty Fellowship 2025 Cohort,”* said Eric Mobu, Director of Programmes & Development at the Liberalist Centre.

“We believe that these exceptional individuals have the potential to make a significant impact in promoting liberty and freedom in their reporting, and we look forward to supporting them on this journey,” he said.
