26 African entrepreneurs to be honoured at Africa Trade Awards Ceremony in Nigeria

In a bid to recognize and celebrate the achievements of African entrepreneurs, the Africa Trade Awards is set to take place in Nigeria, honoring 26 exceptional individuals who have made significant impacts in their respective fields.

The awards ceremony, scheduled to take place on November 9, 2025, aimed to celebrate selfless service and impact-driven individuals who have contributed significantly to their societies and economies.

The Africa Trade Awards, organized by Ikeanumba Media Ltd, publishers of The Lagos Times newspaper and Ikeanumba Africa magazine, brought together selection team to identify and nominate outstanding individuals from various sectors, including manufacturing, import/export, media, pharmaceuticals, and real estate development.

Speaking at a press conference, the convener of the Africa Trade Awards, Honourable Ayobama Ikeanumba, explained that the awardees, representing six African countries, have demonstrated exceptional dedication, resilience, and excellence in their fields.

The awards are merit-based, and none of the awardees will be required to pay for the award.

This unique approach aimed to truly recognize and honour the contributions of these exceptional individuals.

Alongside the awards ceremony, a book titled “Africa Trade Disruptors” will be launched, compiling the biographies and success stories of each awardee.

The book, a compilation of stories from Africa’s greatest economic and business change makers, features individuals who have been showcased on the cover of Ikeanumba Africa magazine over the past four years.

Their stories, testaments to hard work, focus, dedication, and humanitarian services, will serve as inspiration and reference for generations to come.

The organizer expressed their willingness to partner with media houses and invite more journalists to cover the event.

Ikeanumba noted, “These African entrepreneurs have profound stories around the journey of their endeavours, which stand as testaments of hard work, focus, dedication, and humanitarian services.”

The Africa Trade Awards aim is to shine a spotlight on these exceptional individuals, encouraging others to follow in their footsteps.

In his remarks, the conference media Coordinator and CEO of Cornel Media, As Amb. Cornel Udofia, noted that, “When you’re doing things, you may not know that people are watching and feeling you.”

The Africa Trade Award is a testament to the power of intentional action and its impact on communities and societies.

Through this award and the “Africa Disruptors” book, the organizers hope to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs, demonstrating that with hard work, innovation, and dedication, anything is possible.
