Skazz: Rising Adamawa-based star who shone at Davido’s 5ive Alive Tour in Yola

When passion meets purpose, music stops being just sound — it becomes a movement. That’s the story of Skazz, a fast-rising Afrobeats and rap artist who’s quietly carving his own lane in Nigeria’s ever-expanding soundscape.

Born with a bold sense of creativity and determination, Skazz officially began his professional journey in 2024, the same year he dropped his debut EP TWÈN — a project he describes as “the moment I turned 20 and decided I was locking in on music for real.”

But the defining moment of his young career came when he took the stage at Davido’s Five Alive Tour in Yola — a night that turned the northern capital into a melting pot of sound, culture, and youthful energy.

“The whole experience was crazy,” Skazz recalled with excitement. “The energy, the crowd, the vibe, seeing how much love the people showed and how the city came alive for the tour was mind-blowing.”

Performing on the same stage as Davido, one of Africa’s most decorated artists, was no small feat for the emerging star.

“It was surreal performing on the same stage one of the greats was performing on,” he said.

“It reminded me that my dreams are valid and that the North is rising in this game.”

Skazz’s sound blends the rhythmic soul of Afrobeats with the storytelling fire of rap — reflecting a new generation of artists who refuse to be boxed in by genre or geography. With his upcoming project, he promises “fresh and unique sounds” that will redefine what it means to be young, creative, and Northern.

He also sent a heartfelt message to music fans and supporters: “I love and deeply appreciate everyone who supports my music. I have a project dropping soon, and I’m coming with fresh and unique sounds. Watch this space — it’s only up from here.”

And to Davido, whose presence in Yola inspired countless creatives, Skazz offered his respect and gratitude:
