Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has issued a warning on a fake social media account and website claiming to offer a youth empowerment scheme with a grant of ₦1,000,000.

According to a statement signed by the organization management and made available to The Mirror, the fraudulent platform, (link unavailable), is luring unsuspecting individuals into submitting their personal information.

The NDDC denied any involvement with the fake website and scheme, emphasizing that it was a ploy to deceive innocent people.

The Commission has launched legitimate youth empowerment initiatives, including the Youth Internship Scheme, which provides a monthly stipend of ₦50,000 to 10,000 beneficiaries.

They advised the public to verify information through official channels, including their website ((link unavailable)) and social media handles.

The NDDC has implemented various programs to support youth development in the Niger Delta region, including, a one-year programme providing practical skills training and a monthly stipend of ₦50,000 to 10,000 beneficiaries.
