Joseph Soso Pondi: Celebrating the transformer of lives through hope, action

Chief Joseph Seisingha Soso Pondi does not play to the gallery or chase public attention and applause. He chooses to quietly serve God and humanity through his Foundation, the Soso Pondi Foundation. And by so doing, he can arguably be described as a transformer of lives through hope and action.

Unassuming and selfless, Chief Pondi is a man of immense goodwill from whose heart, priceless milk of human kindness flows ceaselessly. Though he does not trumpet his numerous trail-blazing philanthropic gestures, society takes keen and judicial note. It was not, therefore, a surprise to many when recently  Chief Pondi was deservedly honoured with the title of Ibe Pinamowei of Tubutoru Kingdom by His Royal Majesty Mighty Diamond, the king of the ancient kingdom, in recognition of his service to God, humanity and his community. It was a moment of joy and celebration of a good heart.

Indeed, good work is like a mirror that reflects what you have done and what you represent and the impact you have made, within and out of your domain. Society counts these values and entrusts you with the responsibility to do more, and this is Chief Pondi’s story.

His conferment was witnessed by dignitaries, community leaders and well-wishers. Notedly,  over the years, the Soso Foundation has focused on rehabilitating and reintegrating young people affected by drug abuse, giving them a second chance at life and helping them become productive members of society once again and training Youth in Solar installation programmes. 

Chief Soso Pondi’s efforts have touched lives, not just by helping individuals recover, but by restoring families, rebuilding hope and strengthening the very fabric of the community. His work has become a shining example of compassion and true leadership in action.

Special appreciation also goes to His Royal Majesty King Oguruyeke, Mighty Diamond, for recognizing the power of impact and service by honouring a man dedicated to changing lives. The King’s 9th anniversary is also remarkable as it is a reign marked by peace, unity and progress across Tubutoru Kingdom, Ondo state. 

The conferment ceremony presented the ambience of calm and peace as guests were serenaded with joy, music and heartfelt tributes, a fitting celebration of both leadership and humanity.

Indeed, warm felicitations are for Chief Seisingha Joseph Soso Pondi, the Ibe-Pinamowei of Tubutoru Kingdom, a man whose vision continues to give others a second chance at life as he savours his well-deserved honour.
