Chief of Defence Staff ( CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, felicitated with the officers, soldiers and civilian staff of the Armed Forces of Nigeria on the occasion of Eid el‑Maulud celebration.
According to the Acting Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, Maulud commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and this solemn day offers us an opportunity to honor his life, emulate his teachings, and reflect on the enduring message of compassion, service and humility.
He urged them to observe the event as a time for reflection on unity, commitment and loyalty.
As the Prophet brought hope and good tidings to the world, so must they be promoters of peaceful coexistence and optimism—strengthening the bonds within their ranks and across the nation as they continued to serve with integrity, professionalism and dedication.
He assured Nigerians of the Armed Forces’ commitment to preserving national unity and fostering peaceful coexistence throughout the country.
“Together, and guided by the principles exemplified by the Prophet, we will remain resolute in our duty to protect lives, uphold the rule of law and support the collective prosperity of our nation”, he further assured.
