Anambra Police arrest five over armed robbery, vandalism at company in Agulu

In a coordinated operation, Police Operatives attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Awkuzu, working with Police personnel from Neni Divisional Headquarters on a follow-up investigation into a case of conspiracy and armed robbery, successfully arrested five male suspects in connection with vandalism and theft at an International Company located at Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Police Command, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, the operatives recovered one pump action gun, ten live cartridges, and one black motorcycle.
The suspects are: Okemili Chikwado, 20; Collins Nwakpa, 23; Chukwuemeka Igboke, 18; Nwali Chinedu, 18and Ekene Nwakwo, 22 years respectively.
Upon arrest and subsequent interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime and named one Arinze as their major receiver of the stolen properties.
Further investigation is ongoing, and efforts are underway to apprehend other fleeing suspects and recover the stolen/vandalised equipment.
