Agribusiness champion, Pastor Bright Okwu, celebrated for empowering farmers across West Africa

Organisers of the Mirror Newspaper National Conference and Award Ceremony have announced Organiser of the Avana ECOWAS Agribusiness Fair, Pastor Bright Okwu, as a recipient of the prestigious Excellence Award for Heroes of Our Time, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to agribusiness development, regional trade promotion, and community empowerment.

The award, instituted by The Mirror Newspaper, celebrates individuals whose vision, innovation, and dedication have significantly contributed to economic development, food security, and sustainable livelihoods across Nigeria and beyond.

According to the Editorial Board, Pastor Okwu’s leadership in organising the Avana ECOWAS Agribusiness Fair has created a dynamic platform that connects farmers, agribusiness entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers across the West African sub-region.
