Agbado Oko-Odo LCDA Chairman to partner with GPS-I for President Tinubu’s Re-election

In a strategic move to strengthen grassroots political engagement and ensure continuity of the Renewed Hope Agenda, the Executive Chairman of Agbado Oko-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Jimoh Ishola Ejigbadero, seeks a partnership with Grassroots Progressive Sustainability Initiative (GPS-I) in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Speaking in his office yesterday, when executive members of the group visited him, the council boss said that he seeks to consolidate the gains of President Tinubu’s administration by empowering communities with sustainable development programs, civic education, and grassroots mobilization.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to advancing progressive governance and ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach the people at the local level.

He stressed, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has laid a solid foundation for a stronger, more inclusive Nigeria. Our partnership with GPS-I is our way of reinforcing that vision by taking the message of renewed hope directly to the people who feel it most: the grassroots.”

The Chairman explained that they are engaging community leaders, market associations, artisans, and local entrepreneurs to create a sustainable structure for mobilization ahead of the 2027 elections.

In his remarks, Coordinator, GPS-I, Hon. Kolawole Okedara, congratulated the Executive Chairman and his team on the successful election, and sought a partnership with his administration to address pressing issues affecting the All Progressive Congress, the party’s grassroots sustainability and community development.

He explained that his group aimed at enhancing their party’s grassroots sustainability and acceptability.

“This initiative is designed to foster a stronger connection with the constituents, ensuring that our party remains attuned to their needs and concerns. We also use the medium to seek a partnership with your office toward actualizing the party’s set goals of grassroots sustainability and acceptability. As Progressives who believe in the ideology of the All Progressive Congress (APC), we are ready to give back to the party voluntarily by participating through the Progressive initiative.

“The group approach will focus on establishing robust feedback channels to facilitate open communication between our party and the community. This will enable us to better understand the concerns and aspirations of our constituents and others.

“By partnering with G-PSI on grassroots sustainability strategy, our party will be better equipped to connect with our constituents, address their concerns, and promote our values as the All Progressive Congress (APC). We believe that this initiative has the potential to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our citizens and contribute to the long-term success of our beloved party.

“We commit to working closely with your administration to develop and implement programs that benefit our community and our party’s sustainability. We believe that together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our community,” he assured.
