Ebie declares total support for Tinubu’s re-election, rallies Delta North APC
Meets, receives situation reports from DUG coordinators across nine LGAs

Chairman of the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr Chiedu Ebie, has pledged to deploy his experience, commitment and political networks towards securing the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, declaring that Nigeria’s future requires collective sacrifice, sustained commitment and purposeful leadership.
According to a release made available to newsmen by Jerome Utomi, his Media Aide, Ebie, who was inaugurated as Coordinating Director IV of the Directorate of Contact and Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council on October 14, 2026, gave the assurance following his appointment to the strategic national campaign structure by President Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the forthcoming general elections.
Expressing appreciation to the President and the party leadership for the confidence reposed in him, Ebie pledged to work with fellow council members and party stakeholders to mobilise widespread support for the APC and deliver victory at the polls.
“I am ready to give my best, working with fellow members to deliver a resounding victory for our party and for Nigeria. The work begins now,” he declared.
Ebie’s latest declaration points to his longstanding support for the Tinubu administration and his belief that continuity in governance would provide an opportunity to consolidate ongoing reforms, accelerate infrastructure development and expand economic opportunities for Nigerians, particularly in the Niger Delta.
In August, the NDDC chairman called on the people of the Niger Delta to support the President’s re-election, declaring that the region had gained a stronger voice in national affairs under the current administration.
“Mr President has given the Niger Delta a seat at the table,” Ebie said, citing efforts to rehabilitate roads, complete abandoned projects and create opportunities for young people.
He has also commended the President’s commitment to national development, particularly initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure and the living conditions of Niger Delta residents.
As Coordinating Director IV of the campaign council’s Directorate of Contact and Mobilisation, Ebie is expected to leverage his experience in public administration, stakeholder engagement and political mobilisation to strengthen the APC’s support base ahead of the 2027 elections.
At the inauguration of the campaign council, President Tinubu charged members to work diligently to deliver their wards and polling units, emphasising the importance of effective grassroots mobilisation in translating political support into votes.
Demonstrating his commitment to the assignment, Ebie has intensified grassroots mobilisation in Delta North, meeting with coordinators of the Delta Unity Group (DUG) from the district’s nine local government areas in Agbor, Delta State.
The strategic meeting provided an opportunity for the coordinators to present situation reports on political developments and mobilisation activities in their respective local government areas.
Ebie reviewed the reports with the coordinators and discussed strategies to strengthen the group’s grassroots structures, improve coordination and consolidate support for President Tinubu and the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The engagement underscores the DUG’s determination to unite political stakeholders and galvanise support for the President across Delta North.
Immediately after the meeting, Ebie attended an APC Legacy meeting hosted by the party’s chairman, Hilary “Fada” Ibude, at his residence in Agbor-Obi.
He described the impressive turnout as encouraging, expressing confidence that unity, effective coordination and sustained grassroots engagement would strengthen the party’s electoral prospects.
Ebie reaffirmed that mobilisation efforts would continue, stressing the importance of collective action in achieving the group’s objectives.
“The work continues. Together, we will get it done!” he declared.
As preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum, Ebie’s national campaign appointment and engagements with political stakeholders in Delta North underscore his determination to contribute to the APC’s electoral efforts.
For him, the task goes beyond political endorsements: it requires sustained mobilisation, organisational discipline and a collective commitment to securing victory for President Tinubu and advancing Nigeria’s development aspirations.
