Ayodele predicts defeat for Adebutu, advises him to focus on charity

Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has advised former Ogun State gubernatorial candidate, Hon. (Dr.) Oladipupo Adebutu, not to contest the forthcoming governorship election in the state, declaring that he does not stand any chance of winning.

Primate Ayodele gave the warning while addressing journalists in Lagos, where he spoke extensively on the political future of Ogun State and the prospects of key political actors ahead of the next gubernatorial election.

According to the cleric, Adebutu should rather channel his resources toward humanitarian causes instead of investing heavily in another governorship ambition, which, according to him, would not yield victory.

He stated that no political strategy or effort would be sufficient to secure victory for the Peoples Democratic Party chieftain in the election.

“Ladi Adebutu, don’t waste your money. Keep this money to do charity, to help people,” Ayodele said.

The outspoken cleric further declared that Adebutu would not only lose the election but may also fail to emerge among the leading contenders in the race.

“You can’t win, you can’t even come second,” he added.

Primate Ayodele, known for his frequent prophecies on political developments in Nigeria, insisted that Adebutu was not taking what he described as the necessary political and strategic steps required to succeed in the governorship contest.

In a dramatic expression, the cleric said Adebutu’s expected victory had already been “butulised,” suggesting that his chances had already been politically neutralised before the contest began.

“How? Adebutu, your victory is already butu. The victory is already butulised,” he stated.

He also dismissed possible criticisms of his comments, insisting that his remarks were not intended to create controversy but were based on what he described as divine revelation.

“It is not joke, don’t waste your time and money. If you like, sing on your mandate, you are wasting your time.

“You will believe that this man is a noise maker, I am not a noise maker,” Ayodele declared.

Adebutu, who was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 Ogun State governorship election, remains one of the prominent opposition figures in the state and has continued to maintain political relevance despite his defeat in the last election.

Primate Ayodele’s latest comments are expected to generate reactions within Ogun State’s political landscape as preparations gradually begin toward the next governorship contest.
