Name Mohbad still triggers pain and outrage across Nigeria, and now the case is heating up again.
Recent developments have brought renewed attention to the circumstances surrounding the late singer’s death.
Popular activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) just released an alleged phone call between Zlatan Ibile and Sam Larry, reigniting public anger and suspicion.
In the leaked call, Zlatan allegedly told Sam Larry that he didn’t want to get involved in the Mohbad drama because the media pressure was too much.
VDM immediately fired back, giving Zlatan a 48-hour ultimatum to explain why he chose silence over speaking up for Mohbad.
Even though a Lagos court cleared Sam Larry, Naira Marley, and others of any direct involvement in Mohbad’s death earlier this year, many Nigerians still feel the full truth hasn’t been told.
The court may have ruled, but the streets haven’t healed.
Now with Zlatan’s name in the mix, fans are divided. Some say he was smart to stay out of it, while others believe he had a duty to speak up—especially if he knew something.
Adding fuel to the fire, Karimot, Mohbad’s sister-in-law, called both VDM and Sam Larry out.
She accused them of playing games with the public and even hinted at dropping her recordings proving Sam Larry physically assaulted Mohbad.
