Tinubu vows to bring perpetrators of Borno, Plateau, Kano attacks to justice

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has condemned the recent wave of violence in Borno, Plateau, and Kano states, describing the attacks as “unconscionable” and “cowardly”.

He has vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice, ensuring that those responsible face the full weight of the law.

The attacks include a suicide bombing in Konduga, Borno State, the lynching of innocent travelers in Plateau State, and a deadly explosion in Kano.

President Tinubu in his X account has directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to provide urgent support to survivors of the suicide bombing and extended his deepest condolences to the Government and people of Borno State.

The President has ordered the Nigerian Police Force to work with relevant security and intelligence agencies to ensure those responsible for the barbaric murder of 14 wedding guests are swiftly apprehended and prosecuted.

President Tinubu has directed relevant agencies to investigate the cause of the explosion at a scrap metal facility and take appropriate actions to prevent a recurrence.

He has urged security agencies to intensify efforts to hunt down and rout the remnants of Boko Haram and crush their ability to inflict harm on soft targets.

The President has called on the Government of Plateau State to act decisively to end the vicious cycle of violence and work with security agencies to get to the root of the recent incident.

He assured the people of Borno, Plateau, Kano, and Kaduna States that the government will not rest until justice is done and peace and safety are fully restored across the land.
