You must be genuinely saved

The first thing to consider if you really want to overcome marital delay or any form of delay in your life is that you must purpose to serve God genuinely , sincerely and faithfully from the bottom of your heart.  We live in the days where hypocrisy, hide and seek, double standards and all manner of deceptions are the order of the day.

There are many people today who claim to be born again but they do not even know what it means. Genuine salvation is not church membership; it is not having a Christian name or growing up with good Christian background or come from a Christian family; neither is it your ability to partake of water baptism or communion. The question is, have you genuinely repented of your sins and invited Jesus Christ into your life? Have you accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour? If you have not, then you need to do that now and in case you have done that before but you have turned back, you need to pray now and rededicate your life to the Lord Jesus Christ. He loves you the way you are, but He loves you too much to leave you the way you are.

If you pray now and ask Jesus Christ to forgive you and accept Him into your life I congratulate you. You can write me for more counseling, prayers and encouragements. I want to admonish you to let your light shine. Let people know now that you are born again. You may ask how others will know that you are now born again. the answer is that the Bible says, “By their fruits you shall know them “. The word of God also says that “therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away; behold all things have become new”. (2 Cor. 5:17).

Your new life, victory over sin , love for the brethren , commitments to the things of God are fruits of repentance which will make your life shine in such a way that everyone around you will see it and give glory to your father which is in heaven . God’s word says we need to bring forth fruits that show that we have truly repented. “therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance “(Luke 3:8a). it is a misnomer to call yourself a child of God while you remain a lair, a fornicator, a thief and still remain in your sins.

Many suffer delay in their martial lives because they are never serious with God, so they allow the devil and the wicked ones to be in charge of their lives and cause delays in their lives.

BE TOTALLY COMMITTED TO GOD AND HIS KINGDOM

It is one thing to be born again; it is another thing to yield yourself absolutely to God by surrendering all to the Lord, laying everything on alter and living, your life to promote the kingdom of God. Many still remain in the level of “One leg in “and “One leg out” they find it difficult to yield absolutely to the Lord. God must become your number one priority in life. Before God can deem it fit to give you His best, you must give Him the best of your life, the best of your time and the best of everything without any form of reservation. It is unbecoming of a Christian to be in a church without commitment to God, the church or any department of the church. many are non-challant and they have lackadaisical attitudes towards service. You must realize that those who are really serious in the things of God will never think of you if you have no bit of heart for God’s kingdom.

Getting a man or a lady of your dream or overcoming delays generally is not by struggles or efforts. the world of God says, “By strength shall no one prevail “. (1 Sam. 2:9). Only God can bring the best person into your life. So you need to surrender everything unto Him and serve Him with your whole life. When God becomes your focus, He will cause people to focus on you. Those who are committed will always believe God for people of like minds that is why those who have cold feet towards God’s kingdom are never on the minds of serious minded people.

However, you are not expected to begin to run ups and downs just to show that you are committed in order to just get someone to marry, the fact is that God knows your heart and He knows your motives. He will also reward your labour in His kingdom by giving you the man and lady that will bean answer or a fulfillment of your married dreams. To avoid delay in your martial life therefore, you must not make getting a partner your focus. God must be your focus, you can never get whatever you are running after until you run after God.   You cannot afford to be desperate about it, focus on God, serve Him with all your heart, let God remain your first love and your life will never remain the same again. many are frustrated and depressed today because the only thing they live for is how they can get a life partner. they have become so desperate so much that they are ready to marry “just anybody”.

The fact remains that; no one can fill the vacuum that God alone can fill your life. Get your eyes off the spouse issue and focus on the one who can direct the spouse to you; you must first be satisfied with your relationship with God. be committed to God and trust Him to divinely connect you. God had to make Adam to fall into a deep sleep before making Eve. So you need a rest; you have troubled yourself for too long. The idea of “deep sleep “suggests absolute trust in God.
